Warehouse Manager

Job Description

We’re currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team and manage operations within our service warehouse centre in Emsworth, near Portsmouth. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.

The ideal candidate will have strong IT and communication skills both verbally and written, they will be exceptionally detail-oriented and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of thousands of product orders every year.

Objectives of this Role

Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals

Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping

Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics

Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service

Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfilment centre, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximise efficiency and minimise overtime

Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed

Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention

Oversee and manage logistics utilised to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent IT and communication skills both verbal and written.

Proficient with standard office products to include spreadsheets, email, database management.

Ability to manage own workload

Experience with organising and planning logistics

Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policy

Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

Ability to work with all levels of company staff


Showroom Guide - Emsworth, South Coast £12 per hour


Job Description

Customer facing role, supporting customer appointments in store and virtually. Cocoon is an evolving new furniture brand, designing its own products and utilising online business to customer sales channels along with a new approach to showrooms, outsourcing and logistics.

Cocoon are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated, organised individual to join the team as a Showroom Guide. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a proactive team, learn new skills and be part of Cocoon’s growth journey.

Responsibilities include:

Customer appointments in person in the showroom and remotely at the remote showroom locations. This will involve product demonstrations and answering product and service related questions.

Answering and directing telephone calls

Managing fabric sample requests.

Supporting warehouse stock.

  • Working within the team to support and implement new development


Essential skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Computer literate and competent with standard office software packages such as email, word processing and excel.

Enthusiastic approach for learning new skills

Desirable Skills

Previous sales experience

Hours: 5 days a week to include weekends. 10am to 4pm.

Pay: £12 per hour.
